R400 Movement has Vision & Power

African American and African leaders came together for the inaugural R400 Summit: Reconnect, Reconcile, Reclaim and Rebuild. Delegates from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and other countries came to Charlotte, North Carolina to witness the commitment of increasing trade to Africa. Bishop Claude Alexander and his team of action-oriented volunteers shared a broad vision of collaboration including multiple layers of organization and plans for execution. The working group cohorts included participants in the following areas:

  • City / Urban Planning
  • Energy Development & Management
  • Faith & Religion
  • Medicine & Health
  • Higher Education / HBCUs
  • Housing
  • Media & Communications
  • Museum & Cultural Institutions
  • Travel & Tourism
  • Women’s Advancement & Leadership Development
  • Youth Engagement & Empowerment

All groups were charged with delivering plans that would meet specific objectives and to determine how the cohort would continue working after the Summit ended.
